The Mix…

1 oz Black Cherry Vodka

1 oz Passion Fruit Vodka

3 oz White Cranberry Juice

DTD Dragon Fruit Cherry Cranberry Icicle Stick

The Blend…

Combine all ingredients in a martini shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with DTD Dragon Fruit Cherry Cranberry Icicle Stick.

With summer officially starting tomorrow, it seems like prime time to celebrate the warm weather with a cool classic, the milkshake. They’re easy to make and beyond satisfying. Better yet today is National Vanilla Milkshake Day… Want to add to the mix… pour a 1.5oz of Maker’s Mark for a delightful spin to the traditional vanilla flavored shake!

The Mix…

1/3 cup whole milk

10 ounces premium vanilla ice cream (about 1 3/4 cups, packed)

1 pinch of DTD Vanilla Nutmeg Blend

DTD Toffee Nut Garnish Blend (Topper)

The Blend…

In a blender, combine the milk, DTD Vanilla Nutmeg Blend and ice cream and blend until smooth. Top it off with DTD Toffee Nut Garnish Blend. Serve immediately.

Father’s Day of Cheer!

The Mix…
1 cup simple syrup
750 ml -1 bottle dry red wine,
1 Pomegranate Juice (8 0z.)
1 cup of fresh orange juice
1 cup blackberry brandy
1 cup triple sec
DTD Orange slices, lemon slices, and apple chips

The Blend…
In a pot or pan, combine 1 cup of sugar and one cup of water. Bring to boiling point until sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool. Combine remaining liquids in a pitcher. Cover and refrigerate, if possible overnight. When ready to serve, float fruit in pitcher. Top of vessel with a DTD apple chip!

First Father’s Day

June 19, 1910, marked the first Father’s Day on record. Sonora Dodd from Washington State wanted to have a special day to show appreciation to her father William Smart, who was a Civil War veteran and a widower whose wife died during the childbirth of their sixth child. He raised his six children as a single father. The day was chosen in June, the month of Dodd’s father’s birthday. .

Father’s Day a National Celebration

Father’s Day was not recognized nationally on a large scale until 1966. President Lyndon Johnson designated the third Sunday of June to be Father’s Day. .

However, not until 1972 did Father’s Day become an annual permanent holiday thanks to President Richard Nixon who signed Father’s Day as a public law.

The DTD Ginger Julep

Hot and humid out there? This recipe is a perfect summer time chiller!

The Mix…
2 cup golden sugar
6 cups water
16 DTD Lemon Zest Twist
6 ounces DTD ginger lemon blend
2- 22 ounce lager beer lager
DTD Ginger Lemon Pear Chip

The Blend…
To make simple golden syrup, bring six cups of water to boil, add golden sugar. Stir until dissolved. Remove from heat, let stand until cool. Combine DTD ginger blend (save a little for the rim of glasses), lemon zest, golden syrup in a large glass container. Shake well then chill for 1 hour. Using a strainer pour, into a half rimmed tall glasses with ice cubes till half full. Top with cold beer and DTD Ginger Lemon Pear Chip. Serving 6
